Spring Break in Palm Springs

We headed to Palm Springs for Spring Break this year and had a fantastic time.  We rented a room at the Marriott Shadow Ridge, and enjoyed time swimming, eating, seeing a movie, playing baseball, chasing bunnies, and more swimming.  It was a blast!  The weather was perfect--great in the shade, great in the sun...The kids had so much fun, and we look forward to doing it again next year...

Brooke scoots everywhere on her back...I turned around and these little feet were the view I got!

Winding down for bed...

I got in the pool once and was sure to take a picture...Brooke also got in with us, but that picture didn't make the blog-cut...

Kate conked out right on the couch in the family room, and I couldn't believe she didn't wake up with all the noise and activity swirling around her...

Charlie slept in the closet in our bedroom...worked perfectly....

This is a good picture to show why I've put Lauren on a gluten-free diet...the eczema on her arms and armpits and even upper legs in totally visible--it was hard on  vacation, so I didn't try, and this is what happens...otherwise it totally clears up when we're careful...

I think Charlie was pooled-out on the last morning, so he hung out by the pool for 3 hours in his clothes, collecting rocks and playing with his friend B.

St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day brought a visit from the Leprechauns, small presents, green food, and traditional corned beef and cabbage for dinner...I was reminded at dinner on St. Patrick's Day Eve that the Leprechauns had come to our house last year, and did I think they would remember to come again the next morning?  Hmmm...good question...one I hadn't even considered.  I "ran some errands" that night to CVS and sure enough, the Leprechauns came the next morning!

I found these "Bells of Ireland" flowers at Trader Joes and absolutely fell in love...they were a lovely green and really filled the space well...

Presidents Day in St. George

We spent the Presidents Day weekend in St. George visiting with Andy's family--we had a great time and were so lucky to have so many family members down at the same time.  We enjoyed visiting, watching baseball games, catching lizards, hiking and catching up...

Easter

Easter was a party this year--eggs, baskets, a few hunts, dinner, and a boat-load of candy--success!

Lauren and Kate dyed hard-boiled eggs while Charlie and Brooke were napping--it was perfect and they had fun...

Lauren had a sign for the Easter Bunny, and she made sure that each basket was labeled so the Easter Bunny knew what to put where...

Easter morning before Church--just the girls...

Add the boy...

Our token shot on the front porch bench...

My brother did a great job hiding Easter eggs all over my parents' back yard...the kids had a blast finding them--we found 29 of the 30 eggs--somewhere there's a single egg out there!
