We went to St. George, Utah in February (that post will come shortly), and came home with 3 pet lizards. I am NOT a reptile person, but my kids were in lizard heaven. And turns out that a lizard is a pretty good pet--the kids loved them, and they are little-to-zero maintenance. Charlie's lizard has since stiffened up and died, but the other 2 are still with us. These were the most docile lizards I've ever seen. They were so calm and still--never jumped or ran. The kids played with them and carried them around, and then would put them back in the cage.
