The Week in Review...

Abundance of distractions = lack of posts. There have been far too many other things taking place in the past little while and I just haven't posted anything. I plan to print this blog in a book as our family journal, and thus I should be more on top of things...oh well...here's a wrap-up...we took the kids to the zoo on President's Day and had a really good time...the weather was overcast and mild...unfortunately we took the scenic route to the playground at the back of the zoo, and the scenic route didn't include too many animals, thus, no pictures...here's Kate on the play equipment...I've decided that the zoo is much more enjoyable when Andy comes with us...I used to go a lot with friends and I'd wrangle my 2 kids by myself, but it's TOO MUCH WORK. Now the LA Zoo is a family outing that we do as a 2-parent family.

I had Noah as a surrogate son for 3 days because his mom was disastrously ill with the flu, and she's 7 months pregnant...we loved having him! By the end he was probably like, "you again?" Needless to say, we made a few trips to Kidspace...the happiest place on earth that isn't an hour away on clogged freeways! Lauren was in school, so Kate had Noah all to herself and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. As we were leaving, a father said to me "your daughter is die-hard" referring to Kate's commando style of playing...

Noah was the most attentive child during the story time...his eyes never left the book...all the other kids would get up and wander around, but this was serious business for him! He's the only child in the picture actually sitting down and looking in the direction of the teacher...

Kate is very physically capable...she climbs, she jumps, she launches, she rolls, she spins, she hangs...no wonder she's light as a feather, yet eats like a horse...
